You can’t beat fish and chips by the sea. Those summer days where you’ve been on the beach and decide to get a portion of fish & chips to finish the day off or those cosy winter days when all you want is some comfort food.   1. Morrish’s, Redruth
    A favourite of mine when I lived in Redruth, Morrish’s is very good and they’ll even do a grilled fish if you don’t have room for the batter. You can takeaway or eat in the restaurant.

  2. Posh nosh, Millbrook
    Generous portions, delicious fish alternatives like their bbq wrap, always friendly service and delicious chips!

  3. Catch, Looe
    Really fresh fish, nice chunky chips that aren’t too greasy and indoor and outdoor seating options as well as takeaway. You can sit and enjoy the beautiful harbour view.

  4. The Coddy Shack, Looe
    A well known favourite in South East Cornwall, The Coddy Shack use local products and source sustainable fish. You can take away or eat in. They’re not directly in Looe but you can always get a takeaway and drive somewhere with a view if you don’t want to eat in.

  5. Port and Starboard, Indian Queens
    A real well known one in Cornwall, you’ll have probably seen the signs near the exit to Newquay on the A30. Slightly higher than average prices but tasty fish and chips and ideal if you’re coming back from a day trip and want to find a fish and chip shop just off the A30! You can eat in or takeaway here.

  6. Hooked, Truro
    Not a takeaway fish and chip establishment like the others in this list but definitely worth being included if you’re after some fancier fish and chips in a lovely restaurant. They’re very tasty and there’s a nice atmosphere to enjoy too.

  7. Becks Fish & Chips, St Ives
    Just outside of St Ives itself, Becks Fish & Chips has a great reputation and is perfectly located if you’re heading home and fancy dinner as you drive out of the town centre. You can eat in or take away.

  8. The Balancing Eel, St Ives
    Situated right on the harbour, these fish and chips are delicious and definitely a go to when in St Ives. You can eat in the restaurant or take away.

  9. The Gem Fish Bar & Restaurant, Falmouth
    Friendly service and a locals’ favourite in Falmouth, eat in or take away, the Gem Fish Bar & Restaurant is a trusty choice for delicious fish & chips.

  10. Lewis’s Fish & Chips, Newlyn
    A great location, perfect for getting a takeaway and finding a spot to sit down and watch the sea. Fresh fish from the harbour and freshly cooked food, this place comes highly recommended.
